This is how our 10 hour workshop works
First, CCE will be guiding students through 5 important thinking skills to achieve full and complete mastery over the higher order thinking questions
Second, students will be involved in challenging, fun activities and experiments designed from various schools’ exam papers that require them to use the cognitive thinking skills they have learnt through our workshop.
At first, students may not be familiar using these thinking skills. That is why doing these activities help them to gain understanding and realize how these thinking skills work.
Third, CCE will let students answer questions from various test papers that are related to the cognitive thinking skills arranged in a progressive manner.
Take a look at the 3 examples below where students are required to have cognitive thinking skills to be able to answer these types of questions:
Concept Simulation Question
This is a visualization skill type of question, from this example, students need to simulate on their mind on how the person in the wheelchair will get affected when it starts raining.
So based on the concepts they have learned on this question, they will be able to craft their answers intelligently.
Complex Representation
This is a complex representation type of question, from this example, the droplets actually represent substance like water, they can pass through Part X(Cell Wall), but some of the lightning shaped object (Other Substance) can only pass through Part X but not Part Z.
Students need to link the symbols and explain the diagram carefully.
Deep Conscious Association
This is a deep conscious association type of question. This is the type to which students have difficulty which concept this question is trying to test them.
Like from this example, students will need to link that their constipation is related to the large intestine function, and explain that since feces has stayed in the large intestine for too long, more water is being absorbed there.

Attempt on 2 higher order thinking question types where the main focus is on this cognitive thinking skill
Day 2 (Part 1):
Master Ideas conception
Master ideas conception cognitive thinking skills to conceptualize ideas.
Build up an experiment base on a PSLE question and learn Ideas conception cognitive thinking skills to answer exams question
Attempt on 2 higher order thinking question types where the main focus is on this cognitive thinking skill
Day 2 (part 2):
Master Memory Inquiry association
Master Memory Inquiry association thinking skills and learn how to arrive at answers to questions when the concepts are not obvious to them.
Attempt a fun Science activity that requires student to use Memory Inquiry Association thinking skills
Attempt on 3 higher order thinking question types where the main focus is on this cognitive thinking skill
Day 3 (part 1):
Learn Conscious Manipulation association
Learn Conscious Manipulation association thinking skills to answer questions that requires deep thinking.
Attempt a fun Science activity that requires student to use Conscious Manipulation association
Attempt on 3 higher order thinking question types where the main focus is on this cognitive thinking skill
Day 3 (part 2):
Master the art of working with all the cognitive thinking skills
