Students can ace the MCQ section but often struggle with Open-Ended Questions during exams.

If you ask your child, most of them aren’t trained in answering Open-Ended Questions – it’s either “write the keyword” or “use the format given”. But these are not enough to get high marks on exams.

TRUST US!

Apart from using format and keywords, students need to have cognitive intelligence to analyze questions and think of the most appropriate answers to get full marks. CCE’s cognitive training will provide your child with the thinking skills needed to ace exams.

Take a look at the 2 examples below. The student had used the keywords and the right format but was unable to get the maximum of 2 marks from it!

Question #31:
Glass are transparent (1/2m) and allows light to pass through (1/2m). Thus, the lights that pass through the transparent parts of the signboard will not reflect onto the viewer’s eyes (1/2m), causing viewers to miss the signboard at night when there is low lights.

Standard Answer:

Question #29:
It decreases (1/2m). The warmer water vapour (1/2m) loses heat and condenses (1/2m) into water droplets on the cooler outer surfaces of the glass (1/2m).

Question #30:
Error 1: Clear plastic sheet is transparent while frosted glass is translucent. Therefore, more light should be able to pass through the clear plastic sheet than the frosted glass.

Error 2: The styrofoam is opaque and light detected should be zero.

“Some of my daughter’s classmates are enrolled in CCE and since it is near our home, I decided to try the Secrets to Section B class. The teachers made the lessons fun and interesting for my daughter. The amount of work given was manageable, especially since it’s activity-based and not worksheet-based.”

“I learned about CCE from a co-parent. At first, I was hesitant but upon learning more about it, I decided to give it a try. The course may only be 12 hours but my daughter has learned a lot. I’m very happy.”

“I like the approach of the CCE method because my son, who usually complains of going to lessons, enjoyed the course because it’s fun and filled with activities. He can even explain to what he has learned.”

“The activities that CCE has for their kids are fun kid-friendly. My son’s attention span is limited only to his interests, science not being one of them. He used to stay away from science-related questions because he finds them difficult and ‘scary.’ But now, he seems to want to know everything! It’s nice to know that son is having fun while learning.”

“I’m glad that I enrolled my daughter in the Secrets of Section B class. I knew it could help my daughter cope with her fear of answering open ended questions. She was taught how to break down questions using her analytical skills, so it’s now easier for her to pinpoint what went wrong in the problem.”
